  • National Runaway Safeline: 1-800-RUNAWAY (786-2929) - Supports youth in crisis or facing homelessness, offering shelter information and referrals.
  • 211: Dial 211 - Connects you with local resources, including shelters, transitional housing, and other services for those experiencing housing insecurity.

  • Salvation Army Assistance Line: 1-800-SAL-ARMY (725-2769) - Provides information about local assistance programs, including clothing, shelter, and emergency aid.

Noise-Induced Hearing Loss

According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), as many as 40 million U.S. adults may have noise-induced hearing loss. The good news is that noise-induced hearing loss can be prevented. The chart below shows the average decibel levels for many common sounds.

  • Use a body pillow
  • Stretch before bed
  • Elevate your feet

Water

  • Men: About 15.5 cups (3.7 liters) of fluids a day. 7-8 bottles of water.
  • Women: About 11.5 cups (2.7 liters) of fluids a day. That would be about 5-6 bottles of water for women.
